MegaCon 2013 Has Begun!
It’s begun… the event all SciFi, fantasy, gaming, anime, and comic book fans look forward to every year in Orlando began this afternoon at the Orange County Convention Center. The event runs through to 5pm on Sunday 17th March and is sure to attract a bumper crowd over the weekend judging from the action that took place this afternoon.
The aisle-ways were already crowded just an hour into the event and there was a great buzz around Hall D in the West Concourse.
Celebrity guests include Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Levar Burton, Michael Dorn, Gates McFadden (pictured above left), Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, Wil Wheaton, and other big names from “Star Trek: The Next Generation.” Other notable celebrities making appearances include James and Oliver Phelps from the “Harry Potter” series, Lou Ferrigno (pictured above right) from “The Incredible Hulk,” and voice talent Billy West (Ren and Stimpy, Futurama), John DiMaggio (Futurama), and Tara Strong (My Little Pony).
The event also features a whole host of special panels and presentations as well as rows and rows of toys, posters, T-shirts, comics, and other fun stuff sure to grab the attention of collectors. Here’s some video from earlier today… enjoy!
