PinUpalooza 2013, the event designed to cater to all levels of fans for pin-up, burlesque, and rockabilly culture was held yesterday at a hotel on International Drive, Orlando. The event offered a full day of activities for attendees to enjoy including Pin-Up photo op’s, a Vendor’s Room and Walk of Fame.
The event had three different levels for participants to enjoy. There was a free General Admission that included the Vendor’s Room and Walk of Fame while the Entertainment Ticket allowed guests more opportunities with a Retro Cinerama Movie Screening, the Miss PinUpalooza 2013 and the WildTones performance. The Workshops ticket allowed guests to learn some photography tips from Pin Ups, a question and answer session with SoCal Val and several other workshop sessions hosted by a series of experts.
Samantha DeBruhl (pictured above right with April Lynne – left) was crowned Miss PinUpalooza 2013 and she later sent a message to her Facebook fans… “Today was a dream come true. It’s been magical in a way I’ll never forget. I was able to share in the passion of Pinup with so many kind and beautiful people. I learned a lot of new things at workshops and was inspired by burlesque performances. I saw myself printed or posted or projected in/so many places it felt empowering and humbling at the same time. September is my one year anniversary of being a Pinup model. It all started with selfie photos on an iPhone camera and a dream. Today, one year later, I am crowned Miss Pinupalooza 2013. Sometimes we have no idea our potential when we make our dreams, and I am humbled with a year of passionately saturating myself in the art of pinup, that a panel of judges chose me to represent a part of pinup culture. To be a part of an event full of so many beautiful and talented women was a blessing in it’s own right.”
We send our congratulations to everyone who made the event such an enjoyable experience!
