American Spirit Pageants … Beautiful Women, Inside and Out, Raising Money For Charity in Orlando Today
It’s pageant day in Orlando today as American Spirit Pageants brings its event to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. It’s a great event designed to help others by raising awareness and funding worthwhile causes which have as their mission assisting the elderly, children, Veterans, the arts, the injured and sick, the environment or other special needs.
“One of our primary goals is to teach contestants that they are not simply competing with others for a crown. They are competing with themselves. We want them to become the best version of themselves that they can. So, physical beauty is not the only thing judged in American Spirit Pageants. Inner beauty is equally important. Consideration is given to what contestants do away from the pageant as well as how they do at the pageant itself” said Founder and Executive Director Dennis VanDerGinst.
The host of the event is Chris Kirkpatrick, one of the founding members of the pop group ‘N Sync, and judging the contest are some well known names from the world of reality television, the pageant world, the acting world and some local Orlando personalities. Gia Allemand and Jessie Sulidis from The Bachelor, Holly Hoffman from Survivor team up with Doc Holliday (for 17 years anchor of the Doc & Johnny Show on WXXL-FM), Sven Bode (Orlando Style magazine), Claudia Lopez (VH1’s “Tough Love: Miami:) , Christy Hemme (TNA Impact Wrestling), Steven Roddy (The Pageant Planet.com), Angel Anthony Mendez (Pageantry magazine), Jessica Black (Miss United States 2010), Jason London ( actor – The Man in the Moon, Broken Vessels, Poor White Trash, Dracula III) and Sofia Karsteins (actor/singer/producer – Bad Blood, Greener Mountains, JAG, Bold and the Beautiful).
