Hannah Yun Wins Inaugural Volvik Championship at Reunion, Kissimmee, Florida
It was not a moment too soon when Hannah Yun (pictured above) sank the final putt to win the first Volvik Championship at Reunion. Seconds later the rain came lashing down and soaked the golf course. Yun fired a final-round 3-under 69 to hoist the trophy and with only one tournament remaining on the 2013 Symetra Tour schedule, Yun’s victory moved her from No. 48 to No. 18.
Yun from San Diego, Calfiornia shot 67-66-69 for a -14 total score 202 and won $15,000. Second was Ontario’s Alena Sharp with third place going to Italy’s Giulia Molinaro while Floridians, Amelia Lewis (pictured below) and Hannah Jun came 4th.
The tour now moves onto Daytona Beach for its final event, the Symetra Tour Championship and the event will decide who moves onto the LPGA Tour in 2014.
