IAAPA 2012
The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) is in town this week and we wandered along to take a look. The organization represents more than 4,000 facility, supplier and individual members from more than 90 countries and it seems most of them attend the once a year trade only show at the Orlando County Convention Center.
Orlando is IAAPA’s home through 2019 and approximately 25,000 people are expected to attend and deposit more than $47 million dollars in to the local economy. It’s certainly a major event for Central Florida to host and while the emphasis may be on the business side of things, there’s still plenty of fun to be had in the different sections of the exhibition.
