We often get asked about whether you need your pool heating when staying in a Florida Leisure Vacation Home. The answer is that you will definitely need it during the cooler months and that means November through March. October and April can also have cold snaps so you may need pool heat then.
Further, if the temperature dips below 55 degrees then electric pool heaters, otherwise know as heat pumps, will not work efficiently… so plan in advance and watch the weather forecast. If you want to use the pool on vacation, then it may need to be turned on in advance when the temperature is above 55 degrees! Otherwise, this can happen to the heater…
