Matt Every (pictured above), the man born in Daytona Beach, won his first PGA tournament this afternoon when he came from behind to beat Adam Scott and Keegan Bradley at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill. Starting in the second last group, Every was four shots from the lead posted by Adam Scott before the final round. Every shot a 2 under round of 70 while Scott had a disaster as he failed to make a birdie in his last fourteen holes and finished with a disappointing 76.
Keegan Bradley gave himself an outside chance to take the tournament into a play off when he faced a 30 foot birdie putt at the final hole but his effort wandered left of the hole to give him an even par 72 for the day.
Every’s break through victory now means he will play at The Masters in Augusta next month. Congratulations Matt!
