The second round of the Valspar Championship drew to a close Friday evening and it was a day of contrasts. Robert Garrigus finished the day with the largest 36 hole lead in tournament history after a 5 under 66 and his first and second round 7 under par now leads Kevin Na, in second place, by 3 shots.
At the other end of the spectrum, former British Open and PGA champion John Daly made headlines as he carded a 90 that included a 12 on the par-4 16th hole. The highest score of his professional career.
It was a terrific day’s golf at the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook and the weather made it even better. The weekend promises more of the same so if you fancy watching some of the best players in the world tee it up, head over to Palm Harbor and enjoy the weekends play.
