Smoke on the Water BBQ Festival
The Annual Budweiser Smoke on the Water BBQ Competition returned to Winter Haven today. The event is part of the 2015 Florida BBQ Association State Championship and the sanctioned event is an Automatic Qualifier to the World Food Championships, the Sonny’s Smokin’ Showdown Invitational, the American Royal as well as being a qualifier for the Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue.
The event also raised funds to benefit the Citrus Center Boys & Girls Clubs of Winter Haven, Lake Wales and Haines City. More than 80 teams from across the country competed for the Florida State Grand Champion title. Unique entertainment included a Cypress Water Sports Ski Show on beautiful Lake Cannon and several bands played at various locations around the venue.
