Megacon 2017 in Orlando proved to be a big hit for thousands of cos-players and people-watchers as they converged on Orange County Convention Center this past weekend.
The event ran from Thursday to Sunday as fans young and young-at-heart enjoyed a fun weekend dressing as their favorite character from comic books, movies and video games.
Over 100,000 fans attended as Tim Curry, who starred in the 1975 cult favorite “Rocky Horror Picture Show,” and legendary comic book artist Stan Lee headlined the festivities. Other celebrity appearances included Alice Cooper, Meatloaf, Matthew Lewis of the Harry Potter films, Famke Janssen of the “X-Men” films, actors from “Star Wars” and “Star Trek,” the stars of “The Dukes of Hazzard,” and cast members from “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”
More than 1,000 merchants and exhibitors lined the convention center, selling everything from high-end fidget spinners to swords, comic books and tattoos.
