Tiger Woods won his 8th Arnold Palmer Invitational this afternoon and in doing so has regained his number one position among the golfing elite this afternoon at Bay Hill, Florida.
Not even a thunderstorm could deny Tiger Woods his third win of the 2013 PGA Tour season as he held off both Rickie Fowler and Justin Rose down the stretch to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill. Woods shot a 2-under 70 in the fourth round to finish at 13-under for the tournament after play was abandoned yesterday afternoon.
“I play well here. It’s as simple as it gets,” Woods said in the press conference after putting the finishing touches on his eighth career Arnold Palmer Invitational win at Bay Hill.
The win is Woods third in 2013 and his 77th career PGA win. It also returns him to the top of the world ranking for the first time since October 2010 and makes him favorite going into The Masters in two weeks time.
