This Saturday, 4th March 2015, the United States Navy Concert Band, the premier wind ensemble of the U.S. Navy, will present a wide array of marches, patriotic selections, orchestral transcriptions and modern wind ensemble repertoire at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. As the original ensemble of the Navy Band, the Concert Band has been performing public concerts and participating in high-profile events for over 85 years and at 4pm on Saturday they will play in Orlando. Also featured in the concert are the Navy Band Sea Chanters, the United States Navy’s official chorus.
The ensemble will perform a variety of music ranging from traditional choral music, including sea chanteys and patriotic fare, to opera, Broadway, and contemporary music.
Event Guidelines:
• Guests are permitted to bring closed, clear plastic bottles of water.
• Guests are permitted to bring blankets and chairs.
• Restroom trailers available on site.
• Accessible Seating area available.
• Concessions (food, beer, and wine) will be available for sale.
• Concessions will accept cash or credit/debit cards.
• No ATM on site.
• All bags and/or guests are subject to be searched.
• Prohibited Items:
o Wagons and carts
o Large bags or backpacks
o Coolers
o Outside alcohol
o Glass containers
o Pets, with the exception of service animals
o Signs/posters with poles, sticks, indecent or derogatory comments/images
o Signs/posters must not be larger than 2×2
o Large umbrellas
o Video cameras, laptops, cameras with detachable lenses greater than 6 inches
o Weapons, lasers pointers, fireworks
o Skates, skateboards, cycles, recreational equipment
o Unauthorized solicitation, handbills, giveaways, or sampling
o Any other items that could be deemed as dangerous, illegal and/or detrimental to others enjoying the show
