Downtown Disney is a great place to visit if you fancy a change of pace from all the Orlando theme parks. The Downtown Disney area is constantly changing and has more than 70 shopping, entertainment and dining options.
Downtown Disney is divided into three sections; West Side, Marketplace and Pleasure Island. On the West Side you will find some great restaurants such as Bongos Cuban Cafe, House of Blues, Wolfgang Puck Cafe and Planet Hollywood. There is also the 24 screen AMC Pleasure island movie theater and the world renowned Cirque du Soleil “La Nouba” live entertainment show as well as the DisneyQuest indoor interactive theme park.
Downtown Disney Marketplace has several interesting places to visit such as the Lego Imagination Center, World of Disney, Team Mickey Athletic Club, Disney Pin Traders, Disney’s Days of Christmas, The Art of Disney and Once Upon A Toy. If you feel the need to eat then you’ll find the T-Rex cafe, Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate shop, Earl of Sandwich, Wolfgang Puck Express, Cap’n Jack’s Restaurant and the Rainforest Cafe.
Pleasure Island has a mix of shopping and dining experiences such as Raglan Road, Fuego by Sosa Cigars, Curl by Sammy Duval, Orlando Harley Davidson, Portobello and Fulton’s Crab House.
