Now you, too, can “start your engine” in your own stock car at the Richard Petty Driving Experience. No experience is required, but you must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a standard transmission to participate in a driving program. If you’d like to experience the thrill without actually driving, the Ride-Along program is for you. You’ll get to ride shotgun in a two-seat stock car driven by one of their professional instructors and experience a simulated three-lap NASCAR qualifying run at speeds exceeding 150 mph. All riding program participants must be at least 14 years of age.

Best of all, just about your entire family can do it—anyone ages 4 and up (weighing more than 35 pounds) can hang glide! If you aren’t crazy about the idea of flying, there’s also 15 miles of hiking and mountain bike trails on property to explore.

Winter Garden is a great place to visit for a half day or so.
Only 30 minutes from Disney…but a world away in character.
Beautiful parks…the squirrels will happily eat from your hand…a great and amusing 40 minute boat trip round Lake Apopka..with a great captain … and look at the multi million$$ houses belonging to the rich and famous. Nice museums too.

Lavender N Lace Tea Rooms is located in a residential area the signs will direct you to a quaint little house with an area to park your car to the side. The surroundings are very quaint and quite delightful and the food is suppose to be even better and they have desserts to die for. Afterward you can have a lovely walk round the gift shop and garden area where they had huge selection of stock and unusual gifts.
It is only open from 11am until 3.30pm, Mon – Sat and a lunch visit was highly recommend to me, the added bonus is it is just a stone’s throw from Lake Alfred http://www.ci.lake-alfred.fl.us/parks.asp.
